Let's join us!

We are initiating an IT-based support project in a slum area located in Thailand. As of December 2024, we have no concrete achievements yet and are just starting the project. In the future, we hope to develop smartphone applications, but first, we aim to improve quality of life (QOL) through IoT solutions using devices like Raspberry Pi.

タイ国内にあるスラム街や児童養護施設で、ITを使った支援プロジェクトを始めようとしています。2024年12月現在の段階ではまだ具体的な実績はなく、これから始動するプロジェクトになります。将来的にはスマホアプリの開発も行いたいと考えていますが、まずはラズパイなどを活用したIoTによるQOL向上に取り組みたいと考えています。

※Even unpaid volunteer activities are prohibited in Thailand, so we will not conduct any on-site activities (such as installing IoT devices) ourselves. Instead, we will focus on app development and later donate the devices to a local partner organization in Thailand.

※タイでは無償ボランティアであっても活動が禁止されているため、直接現地での活動（Iot機器の設置など）は実施しません。開発作業を行い、その後はタイ現地の協力団体へのアプリ・機器寄付という形になります。

This project is still in its very early stages. We do not yet have a fully established development or communication environment. If you join us, we’ll work together from scratch to build systems, processes, and tools. It will involve a lot of trial and error, but we believe it will be a rewarding journey.

このプロジェクトはまだ始まったばかりです。2024年12月現在、メンバーも発案者の私（wan）のみで、私自身もわかっていないことが数多くあります。また、開発環境やコミュニケーションのための環境もまだ整っていません。
ご参加いただく場合、これらを一緒に作り上げていくことになります。たくさんの試行錯誤が必要になると思いますが、その過程も含めて楽しめるような方を募集しています。

The general idea is to work on the project during your free time, separate from your main job. The initiator is also an engineer currently working, so there will be times when consistent commitment is possible and times when it is not.
Communication is expected to take place via chat tools, video calls. We are open to discussing and deciding together on the most suitable approach for collaboration.

基本的に本業とは別の空いた時間を使って開発を行うイメージでいます。発案者自身もエンジニアの仕事をしながら生活していますので、常に一定の時間を使ってコミットできることもあればできないこともある、といった状況です。 コミュニケーションはチャットツールやビデオ会話で行なっていく想定です。どういった形がいいのか、その辺りも相談しながら進めて行ければと思います。

There are no strict rules, but we would appreciate it if you could dedicate approximately 8 hours per week to the project. However, remote participation is also possible. If you wish to focus on IoT development and plan to join remotely, we would like to discuss the best way for you to contribute.

特に決まっていませんが、週合計で8時間程度関わっていただけると嬉しいです。リモートでも参加可能です。IoT開発をご希望でリモートでの参画となる場合は、どのような参加の仕方が良いのか相談させてください。

This is a volunteer-based activity centered on using your skills to contribute to society, so there is no salary and expense reimbursement. However, the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tackling poverty through IT approaches can be incredibly valuable.

本プロジェクトにおいてはスキルを活かした社会貢献をテーマにした活動ですので、給与は経費支給はありません。ただし、貧困層へのITによるアプローチという、ある意味究極の実践の場での経験を積めるチャンスはかなり貴重なものだとは思います。

The project initiator (Wanosuke) is Japanese, so communication in Japanese is possible. To accommodate non-Japanese members, English and Thai are also acceptable. Daily conversational proficiency should be sufficient.

発案者（wan）は日本人となりますので、日本語でのコミュニケーションは可能です。日本人以外のメンバーも参画できるよう、英語やタイ語も可としています。日常会話レベルで問題ないと思います。
